Does anyone breed traditional Irish sport horses by crossing an ID stallion to TB mares? Besides foal size, are there other considerations? Will this “reverse” of the traditional cross yield a similar quality animal? Are there particular TB lines that would lend themselves to this breeding?

A Seattle Slew mare?
If I hear out of say a Balou du Rouet mare, I take that to mean the mare’s sire is Balou du Rouet.
I don’t understand your post…His dam is Seattle Gift…Seattle Slew family. The discussion was about ISH’s not the TB side of the family.
bingbingbing is saying that when breeders say a horse is out of a Seattle Slew mare it is understood that the damsire is Seattle Slew, not one of his sons.
