trailer advertising

Every other trailer listed on that site is CLEAN! They are all shiny white, inside & out. It makes a difference.

I’d suggest Harbor Freight Tools or maybe Big Lots for an inexpensive buffer. Then stop at your local auto parts or boating store for some rubbing compound, wax, & a metal cleaner. Mother’s Mag & Aluminum cleaner is great stuff.

OTTB’s responses to the posts put me off too. I posted because COTH is a horse community and other posters continued to offer helpful advice.

To clarify my earlier post…

The 12 volt outlets seem to be nothing more than a 3 way splitter mounted (crookedly) on a wall. I would be concerned about wire capacity and protection to the original trailer wiring.

Right…I decreased my price by $500.

Snappy tone intended for the enjoytheride who made it sound like I was lying about my ad. She also twice says “new floor” which I NEVER said and I don’t think anyone would call a 5 year old floor a new floor. I kept waiting for someone to call me a liar for saying my trailer had a new floor which I never did.

I hadn’t tried to clean up the trailer before I took the photos because a few years ago I tried to get the black crud off the roof and got nowhere. After the one potential buyer came though, I tried and did manage to clean it up some on the sides. Now if I could find time to finish the job I could take new photos. I didn’t realize it looked so bad in the photos. Useful but painful feedback. I’d actually meant for some time to find and use some products people on COTH had recommended for cleaning fiberglass, before I even planned to sell it.

I never said a single thing about you lying. Your attitude stinks. You asked for advice. People tried to help.

You said, “That ad doesn’t say anything about the floor ever being replaced, whereas mine has a Rumber floor now.”

I took the time to look at all the Brenderup ads to see what made your trailer stand out and couldn’t find anything about a new, upgraded, or Rumber floor.

I figured I either missed it or an upgraded/newer feature like that should be highlighted. Now I see that you have not listed the floor feature at all.

My advice is the same, not that you deserve it. A replaced or upgraded floor in a Brenderup is important given the difficulty doing that job since they are no longer made here. Highlight that.
