My trailer jack bit the dust this weekend. Luckily, it happened as we were dropping the trailer at home and not as we were trying to leave the venue. I think it’s probably a pin, but I’m guessing the jack is probably as old as the trailer (and since they aren’t super pricey) would prefer just to replace it.
Any suggestions on brands? I was looking at Reese and Bulldog. Also, how much of a drop/lift am I going to want?
Trailer is a late 80s or very early 90s Trail-et bumper pull.
There is a company locally that sells nationally: Caple-Shaw Industries…they supply many if the trailer manufacturers.
I took measurements off of ours and bought a replacement from etrailer.com. I think it was an Atwood, same as the original. You might want to web search among the RV crowd for brand recommendations as they go through equipment faster than most horse trailer owners.
