Trailer parking in Dallas

I need some help COTH friends. I am moving my daughter to Dallas this weekend and, of course, using my horse trailer to haul her furniture. She has a loft apartment in the middle of downtown Dallas–Jackson St. We are arriving Sunday late afternoon/early evening and have help scheduled to unload, but I need to someplace safe to park the trailer on Sunday night through Tuesday morning. It’s a two horse gooseneck Trailet. Ideally, both truck, and trailer but just the trailer if that’s all I can find. I’ll be heading back to Nashville Tuesday morning.

Are there any Dallas peeps? Or any ideas of commercial places I can park? Happy to compensate!

Ask @clanter, he lives West of there, he may know where to park safely.

Maybe check horse motels, see if they would let you park there?

Your closest bet would be Dallas Equestrian - I have no idea if they would let you “rent” a space but it’s worth reaching out.

Further out, Buck Branch comes to mind.

There may also be RV parks in the area that would let you park?

I am over by Fort Worth, we have plenty of room but its 30 mile or so drive… OP check with White Rock Stables … it is closer over by White Rock Lake (about five or so miles northeast of Jackson St area) they claim to still have “Security gates, tack rooms, ample trailer parking” …this is boarding stable that has been thee since the 1940s.

I have no idea if they would be interested in providing parking for guest trailer/truck, but really would not think they or any one would turn down some extra dollars. Them having Secured parking is major plus

failing that our place is less than mile from a trinity river railway express station. … the train runs often between Dallas’s Union Station to Fort Worth…we are near the Richland Hills Station …we have secured parking (a huge German Shepard Dog) … there would be no cost , just PM me if needed

I work in that area of downtown Dallas. The stable suggestions are good. I’d also suggest looking up storage facilities in the area. Many have vehicle parking.

My friend runs a carriage company in downtown Dallas. They park their rig near their storage facility where they keep the carriages and there are several long term RVs, boat trailers, etc in the gated lot. I would imagine something like that would work if you’re just planning to Uber around and leave the truck attached.

If you need to unhook the truck I would probably stay away from self storage lots; there are a few facilities near Dallas that might let you pay a fee. The closest I know of is Park Lane (which I guess is now Dallas Equestrian) but not sure their trailer parking capabilities.

I know once my friend’s rig broke down in one of the commercial parking lots over the weekend and it wasn’t a huge deal to leave it parked, but those lots tend to be incredibly full starting Monday morning and through the work week so it would probably be frowned upon for a Sunday - Tuesday timeline.

Thank you everybody! Some great ideas and I think I have a line on a good option.

For the record in case anyone is ever looking for similar information: I parked the truck and trailer at Atomic Truck Parking. A 100 acre lot 10 minutes from downtown for $16 a night. Gated, fenced, lighted, 24/7 security. It was a not so great area of Dallas–near the Cotton Bowl–so slightly creepy driving in at 10:30 at night, but the place itself seemed safe. And they took all the information you could take on my trailer and vehicle down to VIN numbers. Nobody came in or out without a picture ID that was photocopied. I would park there again and would look up tractor trailer parking in other cities if I have the need.

Thanks again everybody.
