Trailer stall conversion

Has anyone made a box stall and has a link on where/how it was done? Did you put a gate in? etc…

I have a 3 load slant I am thinking about converting the interior to a box stall for my youngster and leaving the rear tack area.

Anyone have links?

following – we want to do the same thing with a 2H BP (not slant). The current plan is to use a pressure treated 2x10 and somehow attach it to where the breast and tail bars go… we haven’t figured that part out yet.

For the 3-horse slant, I’d just put the butt bar up by the rear tack, and call it good, provided my tow vehicle could handle the amount of movement that would allow. I just upgraded to one, and have already pulled out my first divider (counting from the tack room wall) which gives my gelding two slant spaces instead of one. That way he can stand however he wants, but the last slant divider keeps him away from the rear doors/keeps him a little more stable in the trailer.

For the BP, my Trail-et allows me to pull out the center and rear dividers while still leaving the chest bars. Then, to keep the horses from leaning too much on the ramp, I had my metal guy weld on some big d-rings right above the butt bar connections. This allows me to string a chain/pool noodle/etc across the back. (Currently using a cross tie.) I will leave them untied in the bumper pull when it’s set up like that, they usually turn around and rest their butts on the chest bar.

I have a three horse slant, no rear tack. I take the front divider out. Then my trailer guys had me pull divider number two straight across - my divider telescopes- and they added an additional pin for it to latch onto. It’s really close to the existing pin but just different enough that it latches straight and I have two box stalls. In my old two horse straight, I simply pushed the divider over or took it out and made my own “full width” butt bar. Both were super easy to do. Can send slant pics if you like, straight is sold.
