While I am a lifelong H/J rider, I dabbled in western riding (specifically reining) as a means to get over the forced sale my high school horse. I absolutely loved it, but wasn’t really riding with a knowledgeable western trainer at the time. He was a bit of a cowboy and just let me mess around without any meaningful instruction. I am really starting to miss it and would love to take up lessons in addition to my huntseat riding. This time, I want to do it right.
Any one know a reputable western trainer with school horses preferably located in the northern suburbs? Opportunities to show are a bonus!
