I’m putting out some feelers here. Anyone know (and recommend) a hunter/jumper trainer near Syracuse, NY?
Denise Van Patten at Smoke Tree Farm in Baldwinsville. She is amazing. Trained with her all through college (went to SU). She was also my SU equestrian team coach. If I could describe her I’d say she taught me the science of riding. The how and the why and I began to actually understand why we do lateral work and why a horse reacts this way or that way. I can’t say enough good things about her as well as the barn in general. They are a really great family and a no drama place.
Marci Fuller does a nice job for the horses and the people. She’s also an honest trainer and business person plus fun. PM me if you want contact information. I don’t think she’s got a big internet presence.
