Trakehner America (sp?) by Amethyst?

Has anyone heard of this son of Amethyst? What can you tell me about either father or son? Thanks in advance.

If you do a google search, you will find a ton of information on Amethyst. Here is his webpage:

“CE Monsieur America”, I believe, is America’s regsitered name. He is not approved for breeding with the ATA, However, he was approved with the AWS. He is a 2003 colt, by Amethyst and out of Cambre.

I knew the dam sire Symbol. Symbol was a Weilkapolski and was bred by the Liski stud farm in Poland. He’s a Polish Trakehner. He was owned by Carol Lavell and was 1st, 2nd,3rd USDF national champion. Then he was in a trailering incident (road founder) traveling to K.C for the national championships. No fault of his - bad hauling company. Symbol and In the Black also owned by Carol were sired by the same sire named Karkas. In the Black was USDF National Champion and I think her pan am horse? I believe he placed? Do a search on Carol Lavell and In the Black.

Anyway, IMO Symbol should have been included in the ATA registry and I’m not exactly sure why he wasn’t. He stamped all of his babies. Symbol was actually eventing bred and had springs in his feet.

Thank you both for the reply, very much appreciated. I had looked over the Amethyst info but could not find anything on the son. Anyone have personal experience with either and could talk to temperament? I am considering a 3YO by America.

Still can’t be any help about America - sorry, but here’s a video of America’s dam’s full sister Brazil. (I’m 99.5% sure she’s the full sister to the dam.) If you do end up buying the 3 year old you’ll know about family history.

Off topic, but my old dressage trainer owned Blackie after Carol. Lovely horse. His pasture buddy was a blind one eyed shetland pony. They were very cute together.
