And not only talented field but full. 14 entries (most since 1977).
Race 11 out of 13 with an approx PT of 5:44pm ET.
Will be on NBC.
There will be 5 other G1s along with the G11t Woodford Reserve Ballston Spa where Lady Eli is slated to return after defeating laminitis triggered by stepping on a nail last year returning to the barn after her last win.
Packed race day again on Saturday.
The Travers is horse racing history. It would be nice to see a truly competitive race from this very talented field. Maybe like in 62.

Governor Malibu wins the Travers? Well, Saratoga is the graveyard of champions.

I think not. Perhaps it will rain and I’ll be betting on Exaggerator.
Majesto is out due to fever.
I’m still learning toward Exaggerator, esp if it rains
New track record! Buffett trained Arrogate won by 12.
Did anyone see that head-on replay?
The #2 AF, also BB trained, shoot to the right across the rest of the field, after the clean break?
I’d love to see an ‘overhead view’ off this. Curious. Not a problem for me;
winner was one of the 3 I put a “pretend” $2 bet on.

Well it wasn’t exactly a truly competitive race, but WOW. A brilliant performance.
Not at Saratoga, nor near a TV, but chained to a desk. Lucky to not see the winner posted before watching the replay. Wow.
How impressive was that?!?:encouragement:
Was there the last time the record was broken by General Assembly. It absolutely poured that day. My dad clever enough to have found us seats, although down near the far turn, where he was well in front anyway.
But things are sure wide open now.
Will be an interesting fall.
Missed seeing Flintshire, and Lady Eli, and LaurieB’s filly as well.
Arrrrrgh! It is hard being far away…

Quite the surprise. Baffert always has a trick up his sleeve to the handicappers chagrin. Wonderful day of racing particularly the well managed Flintshire victory in the Swaps.
