He is lovely. I think More Than Ready is a stunning horse. Not “perfect” but definitely a stunner. Too bad for sport horse breeders that he (understandably) commands such a fee . https://www.bloodhorse.com/stallion-…ore-than-ready
Yes, he is extremely well balanced.
Looking at his offspring’s results on his stallion page, it seems he sires a lot of horses that get better with age and, to some extent, distance. That is not something that will make him superstar popular with TB breeders, as there is so much emphasis on precocious two year olds. (Although at $75,000 he is not a cheap date!)
Hope that eventually his genes trickle into the sport horse world, where he could have an interesting impact.
Maybe it is just me,but Catholic Boy reminds me more of Bernadini , I think it is because of the way he moves.
Yeah but either of those stallions require deep pockets to breed to them.
With the exception of those who breed to sell, the emphasis is really not on breeding precocious 2 yos as the purse money at age 3 and up is so much greater than the purse money at 2.
More Than Ready is already a very very popular stallion with the TB breeders.
There’s a lovely son of More Than Ready in Indiana for $2000. https://www.bloodhorse.com/stallion-register/stallions/134024/readys-image
