Treadstep Donatello II or Ariat Heritage Contour Field boots??

So I have come home with both of these pairs of boots. Both fit very well and both are comfortable. One of them has to get returned! What are some pros and cons of each of these boots?

The Ariats feel slightly more sturdy but the Donatellos are very comfortable right off the bat . I am mostly concerned with functionality and durability. I tend to be a heavy aids rider and wear boots through on the calf and blowout the zipper first.

I have a pair of Donatellos… love them, super fit and very comfortable…

That being said, I’d return them. Mine have only seen show and clinic use, have been cleaned & conditioned and stored in fleece boot bag after each use. I only wore them to ride - always pulled/put them on just before hopping in the saddle and take them off immediately so they’ve seen no paddock or road wear… and they have the most massive, huge tear right down the seam of the leg on both boots.

They saw minimum use and the rip appeared about 6 months after I purchased them so I did not feel like I could return them. Otherwise I would.

As much as I love them and how they fit they just do not hold up to minimal wear.

I love my arias heritage contour boots. I use them to show in, and then have the V sport to school in.

I had an older pair of the Donatellos that I wore into the ground, and I wanted to get another pair but I don’t think they make the same as when they originally produced them. The fit was different. And not as comfortable as my original pair.

I have a pair of Donatellos (I think they’re the Donatellos II, field boot) and touch wood, mine have been holding up fine and I ride in mine daily. I wipe my boots down with a damp sponge after each ride and once in awhile throw some polish on and that’s about it. For me, they were the best fitting boots since most other boots are too tall for me.
