Treated poplar for fencing

does anyone have any experience with using treated poplar for fencing?
TIA

We have treated poplar fence boards. When we built our four board fences 10 years ago, we were told that the alternative, oak, would be significantly more expensive. The poplar is softer wood, and horses who are inclined to chew fences can do some damage. We also have one mare in particular who loves to scratch her tail and rump on the fences and routinely snaps boards. We are getting ready to replace many boards, and when we shopped for boards, we found the oak to be very affordable at $8.50/board. Our neighbor has a boarding barn and used oak for her fences. She hasn’t had any trouble with fence chewing or broken boards.

We have treated popular split rails on our road frontage with treated locust posts, the rails have lasted from 10 - 18 years ( I really have no idea why the rails and posts rot at different rates! ) we routinely replace them at this time - I have a horse guard fence top hot wire to keep the horses from scratching or leaning ( but have never gotten around to hooking it up )
