should be interesting for a weanling to land at Morgan Nationals with about 1200 other horses
He is very handsome! I hope he takes everything in stride – that is a HUGE show.
Hi, little dude! He looks ready to take over the show, let alone just take it in stride
He certainly looks ready!
Do you happen to have the link to the live stream? I do like to try to watch what I can in between work meetings
Awwwwww!!! That was a long trip! He looks so overwhelmed.
Live stream isn’t free this year.
I used to watch every year and it was something I always looked forward to. I spent way too much time with my mom watching classes, we’d usually watch a session a day depending on when my friend was showing. I wouldn’t mind paying but $175 is a definite no from me. I would pay, but not that.
That’s nuts. Why in the world would they do that? I can’t imagine how many people will take them up on their offer.
I could see potentially partnering with one of the existing subscription services, like ClipMyHorse or Horse & Country. I don’t pay $175 in a year for my ClipMyHorse subscription, and that allows me to watch almost every big dressage or eventing weekend that I could possibly want to watch.
Sorry OP, don’t mean to take away from your positive post about your sweet horse, but this is the second decision I’ve read about from AMHA this week that’s really made me scratch my head…
Is that your daughter holding him? She looks so happy (with good reason)!
I’m sure it’s a little bittersweet for her, but Fig is gorgeous and good breeding certainly tells in the end. Can’t wait to see more photos.
He really is a pretty boy and growing well. Seems to be taking it all in stride. Good luck to them.
Great job, Lexie!
Is Fig going to be shown at all, or was this just the drop-off point?
She is having a great show Please give her my congratulations I hope these new horses take some of the pain out of losing Socrates
I’ll be sure to watch on Tuesday, as the videos are free the day after they’re taken. A 5 month old colt in a class… Just makes me giggle.
How exciting! Love his head and expression. My best wishes on your daughter’s new adventure with him. We do expect frequent updates.
You and your wife done good with this one. Great job, Dad!
And in England, too, I believe.
A real cutie who has turned into a lovely young woman!
Can you write a book about this and start a new fad, please? What a novel concept to raise kids to be people who can cope with life!
<–sarcasm
Congratulations, World Champion Fig!
Not bad. One show, one world championship. Though it does kind of raise the bar for next time out!
