So does it take all the brain power you can muster to come up with these witty rejoinders?

No
“Lite” is for horses that need a LOW CALORIE feed- which translates to both low starch AND low fat- but still need the vitamins and minerals.
The guidelines say you should not feed more than 4-5 lb of “Lite” per day, so it is ONLY for the "easy keepers. Lots of IR horses will need more that that.[/QUOTE]
And just to add more confusion to the topic, we had a TC Seminar here a bit ago. I asked about the Lite. I was told it really is a type of ration balancer. So I asked why it wasn’t called “supplement” or “ration balancer” . Was told that it should be but it would cause confusion if they changed the name.
Maybe because “supplement” implies that it is “in addition to” (instead of “in place of”) other “hard” feed.
I just started feeding Enrich Plus from Purina to my easy keeper. What is it about Purina people don’t like? It’s easy for me to get in my area and I have fed Purina products to my dogs and cats also with no problems for years.
LOL, what? A 9 year old thread about Triple Crown feeds, that you got “people don’t like Purina” from?
A LOT has change in 9 years.
Also, Purina small/companion animal is an entirely separate, unrelated, no association company from Purina large animal/livestock. As different as TC and Purina.
Ironically, nine years later, Triple Crown is now contracted with Purina/Land o’Lakes to manufacture their feed in Purina mills. Maybe some of those Purina-only feed stores will start to stock it…
Purina manufactures TC in the Southeast.
Yes, that’s a new development just last year, but completely irrelevant to the complete separation between companion animals and livestock, so…
