I’ve been using TCT for a few years and was wondering how it compares to Tribute Kalm 'N EZ? I’m looking at a new boarding situation and Tribute is their normal feed… I have no experience with this feed so was wondering if anyone else has opinions? I have an OTTB for reference.

They’re pretty different IMO.
TCT: 14% protein, 13% fat, 13% fiber, 22.8 NSC, 1900 kCal/pound
Kalm N EZ: 14% protein, 8% fat, 20% fiber, 13.5 NSC. I couldn’t find the calories per lb, so hopefully someone is able to chime in with that.
If your horse is a harder keeper and/or in heavy work, the Kalm N EZ may not be appropriate.
The Kalm Ultra or Kalm Performer might be more comparable to what you’re currently feeding. I used the Kalm Ultra to put weight on a hard keeper and was pretty happy with it.
The BO is very flexible and said I could supply my own feed and she would reduce price of board, she just has all of her horses (QH’s) on the Kalm N EZ but I’m guessing my TB would prefer to stay on the Triple Crown since he’s been doing so well on it  no sense in changing something that’s not broken
Triple crown training is advertised as: [h=4]Triple Crown Training is an oat-based, corn free, high fat feed perfect for hardworking horses that require a higher caloric intake. High in digestible fibers, Triple Crown Training is the first Triple Crown feed to contain fish oil and flaxseed to dramatically increase Omega-3 fatty acid levels, which assist in decreasing inflammatory responses following intense exercise.[/h] The Kalm Ultra is a:
A high fat, pelleted feed formulated for mature horses.
Excellent for hard-keepers, horses in heavy work, and horses recovering from extreme weight loss.
High fat and highly digestible fiber support top performances without loss of energy or condition.
Optimal balance of essential amino acids, organic minerals, fatty acids, and antioxidants to support dietary requirements and peak performance.
I have had excellent experience with the Tribute feeds. As good if not better than Triple Crown - might be worth the try to keep life simple for your BO/BM?
KNE is in the 1500 cal range, give or take.
The 2 feeds are very different. I would much prefer the KNE, unless a horse says he needs the extra oomph from the TC Training. I agree that the Kalm Ultra would be closer to the TC Training.
