I have several pairs of old field boots that are past their riding days sitting around the house. To some degree, they still have some aesthetic appeal, so I am trying to figure out something to do with them other than throw them out. One idea I had was to put solid wooden boot trees in a pair, attach them to a base, and donate it as a perpetual trophy. I was thinking of putting the name of the trophy on the base and possibly using saddle/bracelet nameplates down the side(s) of the boots. What do you guys think? Would that be something you would like as a trophy or too “recycled.” And if you have any other ideas for what to do with them, I’m open to suggestions Thanks!
