Truck and trailer in PA?

I haven’t bought the horse yet, but Does anyone know of a place in Pennsylvania that rents trucks and two horse trailers? Or know of a company that could ship one horse? All I can find online are massive trailers and I will just need to get one horse moved two hours down the road to Pittsburgh. (I’m new to this state so I don’t have any horsey connections yet.) Please help!

Johnson horse transportation or Brookledge might be able to help. They are a bit far from Pittsburgh but may even be able to recommend someone

You could try Equo - it’s kind of like Uber for horses. I haven’t used them but they were quite responsive when I was trying to organize a short haul last minute ride.

If you are moving to a boarding barn I would check with them to see if they can do it or if they can recommend somebody. Or check with some of the other local boarding show/barns. The trainer might want to make a little money on the side to grab a horse. I am in the far SE corner of PA so no idea who would be local to you.

My area has horse Facebook pages for each local county. Example: Chester County Riders, Lehigh Valley Horse Network etc… I see people ask on those for local hauling. Maybe you can put an ISO ad on you local one.

Call the local tack store and see if they know of anybody local.

Jay Metzler. Winrose Farms. He has rigs for one horse or a barn full.

I used Nobody’s Business eons ago for a trip upstate NY to PA.
Had a wide Dually, separate fans for each horse, about 8 ft of free space in front of the horses straight load two stall (so horses view was extended and free).
My nervous Arab didn’t sweat at all, for the first and only time.
May be more than you want but they were excellent.

I would also recommend you hunt out the local horse groups on FB. Likely there is someone local who wouldn’t mind the cash.
