Trumbull Mountain Tack - Has Anyone Had A Positive Experience Consigning A Saddle?
This was the same experience I had when I was purchasing the saddle. Jay was incredibly helpful and had quite the skill in matching my horse and I up with he right saddle. Thus, when it was time to sell, I didn’t think twice to send it to them to consign.
I would have done as you did and had the confidence you did.

It is sad because TM used to have such a good reputation for both buying and selling. Being a great place to consign was part of the reason they were such a great place to buy from, they had a large selection of used tack.

I had the same experience…bought 2 saddles with excellent customer service but when I consigned one it was terrible. I had to call him to find out it had sold when I did not see it on the website, then it took almost 5 months to receive my check. Several times he said he had sent it but no check would arrive…

Keep at it and eventually he will pay you but I would not be too passive about it

Interesting. All I did was fill out the complaint form on BBB’s website- didn’t take more than a couple of minutes to do. There were similar complaints on their page as well. Within minutes I had confirmation and a notice from BBB that they forwarded it on to the business, and then a matter of minutes from that point to be contacted by Trumbull mountain.
Maybe they have seen more complaints since mine, so they are now getting involved… I also had a great experience buying from them, but after the crap they put me through, I will not go back nor will I ever recommend them…

Update - the complaint worked. I got my check yesterday via certified mail. It was for the correct amount. I deposited it and it was good.
