Tucci Boots

Anyone purchase a pair of Tuccis lately? I have their size chart and measuring tips. It seems like they have a decent range of options within each shoe size. Is there a US tack shop with decent inventory? We are in NC. Thank you!

If you’re in NC Farmhouse Tack Shop close to Tryon is the best bet. Huge selection.

I personally LOVE my Tucci’s in the “Marilyn” style. Broke in immediately. Have been my show boots for 3+ years and I jump the GPs, show 3+ a day, 2 weeks a month on average. I also had the “Sofia” model and loved them once they were broken in. Breaking in was a nightmare. They did hold up for 3 years with 5+ horses a day 6 days a week.

I HATE my Ego 7s. I bought to replace the Sofias and regret it every day.

Thank you! What excellent feedback. I have been looking at the Sophie but will look at the other model. I called Farm House today and they said their inventory is split between TIEC and WEC. I don’t mind driving to TIEC but I am working with a college kid’s schedule. :crossed_fingers:t2::crossed_fingers:t2:we find some for daughter’s Senior year on IHSA team.

I bought her DeNiro’s last year and tack shop reassured her they would drop a bit and fit perfectly but they dropped so badly around the ankle. Such a disappointment.

Out of curiosity, which Ego7’s do you have and why do you hate them?

I recently bought a pair (so they’re still “young”) and they appear to be a good everyday boot for the price ($300 - bought in Europe). Granted, if you have the same ones I do, I wouldn’t expect them to be on par with the Sophia, since that’s a $1k+ boot.

I’ve had my Tuccis for a year, and I like them. I’m not 100% sure they are going to hold up as long as I’m used to, but I’ve never had off the rack boots before! They are Sophia’s and broke in easily. I measured myself and they fit great, the instructions were easy to follow.
Apparently I’m not a common size though as I ordered through Hadfields and Cindy had to track them down and literally get someone to yank them off a truck in Italy to get them to me when I needed them.

Thank you for that feedback. Has Hadfield’s been selling this brand for a while?

Yes I believe so. They don’t do a ton of online sales though so may not keep as many in stock as Malvern or Farmhouse. I’m just more comfortable dealing with Cindy.

Good to know! Thanks again!!

I agree. I got my Tucci’s from Cindy and would definitely get another pair from her.

Cindy has been selling Tucci’s for years, way before they came back into popularity recently. I have Ego7s due to budget, but they are made by Tucci and do what I need them to.

I have the Aries. Leather feels fake on the calf they won’t stretch.
They are the right size, but a year later they still tight in the calf and the leather that touches the saddle still feels slick instead of grippy like my tuccis are when broken in. And I’ve tried everything.

Oh yeah, the leather on the inner calf is fake. I don’t need any stretch though. I measured exactly and bought my exact measurements. For the $300 I paid, I’m satisfied with the Aries. I don’t notice them any more or less grippy than my others (Mountain Horse, Cavallo, and DeNiro). But yeah, they won’t compare to the Tuccis.

Yeah. Ego 7s have fake inner calf leather. Definitely slick at first, but broke in after a few weeks. Would definitely be a bit selective about what I sat on for the first week or so.

But, mine are two years old and still serviceable. One zipper died a year in and I had both replaced. The leather on the inside of the inner calf is peeling pretty badly, maybe because they essentially lived in a sometimes hot car: I suspect that the combination of sweat and heat is degrading. The soles are loosing their grip ridges. So maybe it’s time to order another pair to have on hand.

I have Tucci half chaps and have loved them for years. One zipper needs to be replaced but that’s after 4-5 years of regular use. Leather is in great condition still.

I am trying the Esos 7 paddock boots and got them because the footbed is wider (wide feet!) and it’s the first pair that hasn’t squished my toes. We’ll see how they hold up.

Miki Saddlery is a vendor and had a great experience. LA Saddlery also used to sell too (not sure if they still do)

I have Tucci Marilyns and Ego7 Orions.

I love my Tuccis. I went directly through Tucci because I prefer to deal directly with the company, and they were great. They were incredibly tight breaking in, but I’ve had them for 4 years now and they still look amazing. I used them consistently for the first year before making them my show boots.

I like the Ego7s a lot - they are my everyday boot. I’ve had them for about two years. My biggest complaint is that the hardware is cheap. I had snaps break immediately. Both boots now have broken snaps, both at the heel and behind the knee. The heel guard also doesn’t stay in place, so they will give me rubs if I spend a lot of time in them. They do fit me well off the track, and that is hard to find as a petite person.
