I have a round skirt tucker high plains saddle, wide tree. While he doesn’t complain about it, the rear of the saddle comes up off of my horses back. I can put my whole hand under the back of the saddle which I know is not right. It seem like the wide tree is correct as he’s somewhat mutton withered and a medium looked too high in front. Anyway, I’m thinking of replacing it with a Tucker endurance saddle and wonder if anyone knows if the fits are similar or different enough for me to expect a better fit. So I’m looking for opinions before I start the whole order, try, return nightmare
Thx!
Does it raise up when you cinch up your horse? Or when the horse is moving? Or when the horse lowers his head to the ground?
Can you post a picture of the horse saddled and standing and then showing exactly when it is happening?
I had two different models of Tucker saddles and had the same problem with both. I never could get them to fit well. I bought a Wade tree saddle and it fit like a glove. Sold both Tucker’s and bought a second Wade.
I don’t have pictures and it’s too cold to do a proper photo shoot right now :). It definitely is more pronounced when he is moving. People mentioned it to me when I was riding. I’ll try to provide pics in a couple weeks. Hopefully I’ll have better luck than stb since I really like how my Tucker fits me.
