Anyone have any experiences, positive or negative with tuff rider tall boots? Specifically, I’m interesting in the belmont and regal models. Looking into them as possible schooling pairs. I’ve been pretty happy with my Ariat heritage contours, also had a pair of the ellipse, they’ve been lasting 2-3 years before crapping out (admittedly I ride a pretty decent amount and abuse them). But, if the Tuff Riders last as long, it would be nice to save the ~$100 difference in price.
I ordered a pair Friday from Breeches.com. Took advantage of the BIG black Friday discount. I got the ‘Suregrip’ pair. I, as well, will be using them for schooling. I figured for the price I got them for,(80% off),WTH. I’ll post a review when they arrive. See if you can snag a pair in your size. The savings was too good to pass up. They have the Regal too.
Thank you!!! Just snagged a pair for $76. Can’t pass them up for that price
Yay! It is a good deal. Let’s compare notes when we get themðŸ˜
I bought the Tuff Rider field boots this spring to hunt in and I have been delighted with the quality and utility for the price. I literally took them out of the box and wore them for hours. Super comfortable.
Thank you Mcgurk! Appreciate the feedback.
They’re super comfortable, but I have found that they do not hold up. The footbed cracked right across the ball of my foot on both pairs that I ordered in less than a year (as in I owned both pairs at the same time and both cracked within a year, one was for schooling, the other for showing). Didn’t really effect anything unless the surface I was walking on was wet though.
However, for those prices, for schooling boots, they are totally fine. The leather itself has held up well.
Super comfortable right out of the box. Cannot beat them for the price. I have a pair that are 3 years old and have held up well. Got them on sale for $98! I use them as my daily schooling boots now. But I showed at A shows in them for 2 years.
I bought a pair of Regals about a month ago and i was impressed! I’ve never had a “super soft” boot before and I definitely like the idea. I bought them as 2020 show boots so I tried them on to make sure they fit and then immediately put them in the closet, but i think break in will be immediate. I paid full price but even then they seem like a good deal.
I don’t really have an impression of how well they wear, I’ve only worn them a dozen times - I still hack in my paddock boots and half chaps. But they still get high marks for me for comfort and value.
