Turpentine on frog

I put turpentine on my horse’s hooves yesterday and I put it all over the sole and the frog. I only just now realized that I wasn’t supposed to put it on the frog. Is that really bad?

By turpentine do you mean Venice Turpentine, which is a kind of pine sap? Not the solvent you use to clean paint brushes.

I can’t see Venice Turpentine hurting the frogs
