TV Schedule

Anyone know where you can find the TV schedule for equestrian events? I’m looking for the stations so I DVR. Looked at the NBCOlympics.com and couldn’t find anything. Thank you COTH for starting this forum.

See Peggy’s post below for more current info, and link to what the USEF is sharing.

Check other threads here for info on possible work-arounds.

COTH will have reporters on the ground, United States Equestrian Federation will be reporting news, and many other media outlets will be sharing info. All of that coverage may be better than what NBC can provide. Equestrian coverage for equestrians, provided by equestrians, may be our best bet.

If you don’t live in the USA, here is the broadcast info for the rest of the world.

I got this in an email from USEF. It looks like the USEF Network will have the schedule though they obviously won’t be streaming it. I am going to attempt to copy and paste the email. It may get ugly.

It did get ugly in the sense that it made the ads on the right overlap the posts. OK, here’s a link to the same information:

I actually used the search function on my TV, and due to over lapping channels, HD and NON HD, and since I am on Dish I have the local NBC channel is on a 4 digit channel{!} I had 194 entries up to 5 am on Aug 8th! Checking them off, I only found one for 1 hour of dressage. I don’t mind watching on the computer, but I would definitely want to record the xc.

Eventing Nation posted today that eventing XC and stadium rounds will be aired LIVE on USA Network!! Exciting!!

This schedule has been making the rounds on Facebook–can’t vouch for its accuracy.

That’s the one from the USEF email that I posted upthread.

Should be able to catch the NBC coverage for individual/team jumping. But cut the satellite dish, and am on limited bandwidth. But free from 12am-5am.

Hoping we can watch videos! Especially for eventing.

Here is some hopefully good news:

NBC’s website has the complete TV schedule but it is a pain in the neck to try to get it to work. Links don’t take you where they purport to.

I have spent over 2 hours talking to DISH. The channel is 9402 (9204? something like that—CNBC). Somehow it will “redirect” you to the “collapsible” channels 147 and 148. The lady from yesterday did not know what the Olympics were. She asked if it was a golf event. …

I got all of mine DVR’d except my channel guide doesn’t go past August 14th so I have to wait until next week to add the rest. The channels and times listed on the horsechannel link were correct.

For the love of God, people! How can you be a human being on this planet and NOT know what the friggin Olympics are? Even if your head is constantly buried in a cell phone or tablet, you have to’ve at least heard of it!

ok, sorry, rant over, carry on…

It’s the same news; good if you are a cable subscriber and not-so-good otherwise. But at least it’s consistent.

I have considered ordering cable cable and not having it installed, but you have to commit to a year or two.

Anyone know if it will be showing on the NBC Sports app (like the one I have on my Apple TV)?

This is pretty good just deduct 5 hrs from the times.

USA is one of the channels on Sling tv right? That’ll make this easy.

Thanks COTH members, it takes a horsey village. This is what I was looking for when I originally posted.

I’ve posted this elsewhere, but I have started watching the “lesser known” events on my Apple TV using the NBC Sports app. Yippee!
