twilite trailers?

Anyone have any experience with Twilite trailers?

Thanks in advance!

bumping this for a friend

I would also like to know…they are made by Blue Ribbon Trailers in Ohio. But that’s about all I know. I did speak to someone at the MD Expo about them…not a Twi-Lite rep., but a salesman from the dealer…same thing, really. He did say really good things about how they are made, but what’s he going to say??

I found the perfect one…someone tell me SOMETHING about them, please?

Thanks!

I will bump this again, but it is already at the top so I am not bumping it far! The straight load with the extra space up front and the dressing room is EXACTLY what I am looking for. The price was excellent so I would also be interested in some feedback.

Twilight trailers? Blue Ribbon Trailers? WOW…Been hauling professionaly for 30 years and have NEVER heard of either one. That should tell you something.

someone must know about these trailers!?!?

I have one!

I have one of these trailers. Mines a 2 horse straight load DR w/ramp. I have to say I love it. Extra tall and extra wide. the stalls are suuuper long, I want to say about 87ish inches from chest to butt bar. I custom ordered mine through a dealer, but went down to the factory and picked it up myself. I expected a huge place when I got there, but its actually just one medium sized buliding, and they build 2-3 trailers at a time.

All my horses have hauled well it in so far, the divider is removable, which is nice, I pulled it out to haul a mare and foal last summer, and it was fairly easy to get in and out.

The ramp is spring loaded, I can lift and close it with one stong arm. I did have extra windows added to the doors above the ramp. The wall from the dressing area to the stalls swings open so you could use it for hay or whatnot, it does mean some shavings roll through to the front, but I just used some pipe foam (you know the black kind with the slit?) along the bottom to keep things out, eventually I want to have a rubber sweep put in, but I haven’t had the time to take it in yet.

I looked at all sorts of trailers before I bought this one, and liked the vaule for the price with this one, I’d absolutely buy another one.

If you have other questions I’m happy to answer them!

Thank you so much!! Great to hear… Hopefully ordering it tomorrow and driving to factory this weekend to pick it up. Soooo excited!!

Thank you for Mr. Trailer’s review…it was really good. Anyone else have a Twi-Lite and have positive or negative comments about them?
Thanks!!!

LOL…If your ordering it “TOMORROW” and picking it up “THIS WEEKEND” I certainly would NOT put my horses in it. Average time to build a quality trailer is 6-8 weeks.

Here is another indication of their quality…go to their website and click on the “tabs”…they don’t work!!!

I worded that incorrectly…I meanT to say that I am ready to put a deposit down on the trailer. Then pay the balance in less than a week. The trailer has already been manufactured and is sitting there waiting for the dealer to pick it up and take it to the dealer in another state.

However, I would be driving directly to the manufacturer since it is closer to me that to the dealer out of state.

I am well aware that trailers are not built in 5 days.

The comment about their website is exaggerated since they do not build trailers in the amount of time that you thought they did…so their website, which works fine, is not an indication of the quality of their work. They build trailers in small batches, a couple at a time, and their website has been quite comprehensive.

Why would it take 6 to 8 weeks to build a trailer? If it is a small operation yes, but if a lager manufacturer has a lot of employees???

Trailers are built by hand…Not on an assembly line like autos. Technically speaking, no 2 are EXACTLY the same.

Friend with Twi lite trailer

I’m new to this so bare with me.
A friend of mine ordered a Twi-lite trailer and the tack room door did not line up correctly to latch shut. After going back and forth the dealership ended up rigging a latch that is made for the rear loading doors so the door could latch. Now she has two latches on the one door. Instead of getting a new door that isn’t warped. When searching a new trailer I also liked the lighting that is inset into the ceiling. However this particular trailer only puts the trim around the lights themselves. So there are big gaps of no trim around there ceilings. Another thing that concerned me was the roof being so flat. Although there are no seems (for the roof to leak) my friend and I looked at the roof after a rain the night before and there was puddling up there. They still have to rivet the roof down so this creates weak spots that could leak in the future.

On another note. After contacting Twi-Lite about my friends situation they were very quick to want to help. They answered the phone right away and were very polite. They back there product 100%.

I did not go with Twi-Lite because of other reasons but customer service is important and I’m glad to see they responded so well to my complaints.

I have a twilight two horse straight load with a small dressing room. My wife and I went with the bare-bones model (well we did have pads installed, but they tossed them in free). It does have a ramp but no windows in the dressing room and only one side exit door. We found the trailer to be very affordable and well built. It took us several months to get our trailer but that was fault of the dealer and not Twi-Lite.

It certainly is not a luxury model by any means but it is safe and very easy to pull. We felt that we would rather buy a new bare bones model trailer than spend the money on a used trailer.

I have a Twilite trailer that I bought a year ago, and so far I love it! I haul at least once a week, so it is used a decent amount. I love the stall room, and the ease of the ramp. I wish the saddle racks were mounted in the corner rather than right when you open the door; however, that is only a preference. Customer service was very helpful when I needed to contact them for a minor issue. Overall, I would definitely recommend them

Do they sparkle in the light?

Do they sparkle in the light?

As a matter of fact, with all the LED lights on them, they sparkle best in no light
