Type of shavings for long trailer haul?

We will be taking our two horses for a 7 hour haul in a couple of weeks. I need to pick up shavings anyway, and was wondering if anyone has a favorite type–sawdust, pellets, big flaky shavings etc. for these sorts of trips. I want to keep the dust down, but make it easier to pick out the trailer en route…
We have a two horse straight load BP.

I don’t bed my trailer deeply, just a layer to capture urine. Anyway, I use the sawdust type because they don’t seem to fly around as much.

I prefer the Suncoast large flake. Those things are soooo cushy, and a whole bale more than fills my 2 horse Trail-Et!

Rice hulls are the very best. Don’t mat up, most absorbent, easy to pick out and keep clean without totally stripping during stops along the way.

I drove across the country with pellet bedding in my trailer. Best trailer bedding ever. Poop was easy to pick out & urine was well absorbed instead of spreading all over. I sprayed the pellets down before leaving so they “melted” & weren’t hard. I was worried it would get dusty but it didn’t…it was winter though.
