So far, he looks to be a spectacular stallion!
What say the better heads than me?
He is off to a phenomenal start with 2 hot Derby prospects, 3 Grade 1 winners, 5 graded SWS and 12 SWS, with total earnings in excess of $8 million, already from his first crop. He is currently third overall on the 2016 leading sire list (to Lucky Pulpit, off CC’s Dubai World Cup earnings, and perennial leading sire Tapit) with only one crop racing.
Hard to imagine he doesn’t have a leading sire title in his future.
If you want more information look him up on the Blood-Horse online stallion register.

I did look him up. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn’t clicking on yet another gorgeous dapple-bay/brown stallion.
I liked him, because I call my current older gelding Mo.
This might interest you.
UNCLE MO will be even more attractive in the future while at the same time perpetuating the beleaguered CARO line.
Yup, pretty impressive first crop 3 year olds. I wish he wasn’t. I bred one of my best mares by Gulch (1 of 2 that I consider pretty good) to him in 2014 when he was on the “bubble” meaning his first crop would be 3 year olds when I took the resulting foal to the yearling sales. The market is VERY unforgiving these days to young stallions. VERY.
If they don’t come up with a couple of REAL talking horses with their first crop they are kicked out of Kentucky to a Siberian gulag never to be heard from again. The breeder is lucky to get enough to pay for a ham sandwich. But I saw some really nice yearlings of his and heard really good reports from others that looked at lots of them. So I took a big chance and signed a contract. But I have a good relationship with Coolmore and they gave me very reasonable terms.
I entered the mare in the Keeneland January Breeding Stock sale to advantage of the “buzz”. But after hearing a lot of positive buzz from the breaking farms about how nice they are under saddle I scratched her.
I keep hearing nothing but good things about his 2 year olds and I’m smiling large. Until I went down to the mare’s stall one morning a couple of weeks before her foaling date and she had aborted!
I’ve been reminded of this just about every forking day since. I hate reading the stakes results.
I bred to him for a couple of reasons. One being the “blood” side of things is because I’ve always like his top/sire line. Though I got handed the bag when I bred the same mare to a similar bred young stallion Notional, by In Excess who is the daddy of his sire Indian Charlie. I got a beautiful colt with a great mind. Some of her other foals have been “difficult” to say the least.
When I bred to Notional his first crop were also just 2. He some pretty nice 2 years a couple of small “talking” horses" but nothing like Mo. Unfortunately none of them ran on as 3 year olds and he was sold to OK after the following breeding season. Kiss of death. Couldn’t get $5,000 for him, really nice colt with no vet issues.
I bred the same mare to Scat Daddy when he was on the bubble also. I got a $7,000 contract. Got a beautiful colt, beautiful and Scat Daddy hit. Came up with some minor issues about 2 weeks before the sale and didn’t “present” himself well. Bought him back with decent live money in the ring. Wife wasn’t too happy. He broke and trained like a really nice horse. Put up some very respectable works and was 1 work away from starting with VERY high hopes. Came up with a tendon.
I believe they call it “hard luck” with my picture next to the definition.

I think many can empathize with your post.
Accidents and ill luck seem to find the most promising youngsters.
I hope this year turns into a good luck year for you.
Gumtree…don’t ever let me catch you bragging on a mating or the resulting offspring on here…
