Understanding USEF show records

I apologize in advance for the stupid question.
I’m looking up a horse’s show record that I am interested in. For the vast majority of classes the results are:
Placing: DNP, Natl Points Good: 0.00, Zone Points Good: 0.00
Jumper Money: 0.00, 1st Round Fault: 0, Jump Off Fault: 0

So, it looks like the horse did not place (DNP), but can I assume they finished the course and were clear with no jump or time faults? What would it show if a horse is eliminated after 2 refusals?

You cannot assume that the horse finished clear. I have found with my own horses that the “fault” information posted on the USEF results is not always accurate.

OK, thanks! That’s what I was afraid of…so there’s really no way to tell much if they didn’t place.

Depends how old the horse shows are and what service has their results posted online. Some post full results including whether a Jumper was clean in the first round and what their faults and time was in the jump off and if they were eliminated or retired but you have to go show by show.

And there is always YouTube looking for videos that might have been posted.
