I’ve recently moved to NC. There’s a fun local circuit that is unfortunately shutting down. Curious if anyone knows good, unrecognized shows in NC with jumper classes? I only jump about .85-.95m. Good footing and stall required (my gelding doesn’t love being tied to a trailer for long spells).
It depends where you are in NC. From friends who live on the coast/Wilmington area, I hear there’s not much for options IRT shows, stables, etc.
Tryon does offer some unrated and B shows, however the prices, while not A or AA levels, are still a lot more than you’d pay at a day-show where you work off your trailer.
If you live in Central NC (Raleigh, Southern Pines, etc) you have TONS of options. The so-called C shows are not USEF-affiliated, and is just the name of the schooling series that are affiliated with the NCHJA. Also, many stables offer schooling series, as does the NC Horse Park in Raeford.
Try posting an ISO on the local equestrian FB groups.
You can find a list of a lot of NC shows on the NCDCTA website, just google it.
