I checked the FAQs etc and didn’t find the answer.
I changed my profile and ended up with the subscribe with email notifications enabled. Wow how annoying was that??
Anyway,I went into my profile to change it and actually changed it to unsubscribe twice, but I am still getting the email notifications.
How do I make it stop?
There’s a setting to automatically subscribe you to any thread you post on. You need to change THAT setting, rather than just unsubscribing to the ones you’ve been signed up for.
Under your User CP, go to “edit options,” and then scroll down to “messaging and notification” and “default thread subscription mode.” Change that pull-down menu to “do not subscribe.”
OK that’s what I had done, and I was still getting them. I just checked it and it was on Do Not subscribe. But I have noticed that i am getting less of them on the older threads and none on any new threads I have posted on, so we will see what happens.
You’re probably getting notifications for threads that you were subscribed to previously. If you go to “list subscriptions” under your User CP, you should be able to turn off any subscriptions there.
