In case this helps anyone:
I put CE on mute, but I kept getting CE content in my feed. I was, understandably confused.
Apparently if you even look at certain content, it will bypass your mute settings and default to make you follow it. I was “following” threads I had never commented on in CE. I was “following” threads I had commented on once.
So, if you’re confused about why things show up, that might be why.
Just go thread Ny thread and change your settings.
