Up and coming Young stallions in US?

Would love to know who the newly approved, up and coming boys are in the US for either dressage, eventing or hunters…

tia!

Do you care by whom they are approved?

no, just the usual HAN/GOV/etc just curious who is out there. …

Anyone? Do any of the Registries have areas on their web sites for newly approved boys?

I’ve been drooling over Checkmate, a young (2009) stallion standing at Dreamscape farm. Can’t wait to see how he does in the stallion test this fall! (Although he’s in Canada).

Been watching this boy for a while. I don’t know how he will do as a sire but he is very talented with huge scope.
His talent is true to his pedigree.

We have our newly approved son Dante MG (Chin Chin x Glenrdige).

Superior Equine Sires has a place on their website for new Celle stallions, but that doesn’t meet your definition of US based. There were some nice stallions who completed the 70 d.t. last fall, and although not listed separately, they are included in AHS and GOV stallion lists. Another stallion I find interesting is Fabregas, Florencio x Dshinn/DeNiro, who is new to North America and stands in Canada.

W2’s imported stallion Hunter is looking very promising for eventing, although he is not precisely young. He IS up and coming. Approved by both the Holsteiner Verband and the AHHA.

Montaro OHF (Approved provisional RPSI doing the 70 day test next year), Mezcalero x Coconut Grove xx.

Edward Scissorhands D’Avalon (Escudo II x Mannhattan)

I’m not sure where he is in the approval process, but Maximus by Mynos at Emil Spadone’s is looking promising as a hunter sire. There are a few new youtube videos of him in pre-greens

Also not a young horse, but new as a breeding stallion, Ralando II looks nice and I like his breeding.

All being said, we all have different tastes!

Velluto was the talk of the Trakehner inspections last year, and I look forward to seeing how he does.

Here are the ones that were approved by OHBS/GOV after the 2012 NA 70DT.

Appeal S - Apiro / Cathalido
Bliss MF - Balou du Rouet / Argentinus
Bon Balou - Balou du Rouet / Argentinus
Canterbury HPF - Canturo / Accord II
Contratto - Contendro I / Lord Calando
Dante MG - Chin Chin / Glenridge
Fandango GSF - Welstern / Donnerwelt
Lord Adonis - Lordanos / Raphael
Painted CF - Palladio / Gonzo I
Qredit - Quaterback / Dream of Glory
Roubaix - Rohdiamant / Lamentos
Sandro’s Star - Sagnol / Nostalgia’s Star xx
Vive Victory - Viva Voltaire / Akzent II

Some of the above had already been inspected and temporarily licensed, but earned lifetime approval per successful completion of the 70DT.

OHBS/GOV also gave provisional licenses to the following young stallions, pending completion of performance requirements:

Colorado BF - Casal / Acorado
Daytona ISF - Contango / Metall
Dheputy - Dauphin / Rotspon
DiQuattro DSF - Diarado / Quattro B
Doctor Wendell MF - Don Principe / Sandro Hit
Shotgun - Shakespeare RSF / Fabriano

thank you!

Doctor Wendell is licensed both Hanoverian and Oldenburg. His career is dressage but he can also jump very well. He was a demo horse in the US Global Dressage Forum ridden by Ingrid Klimke who had never seen him before getting on in fornt of nearly 1000 spectators. Photos of the event are in the CHronicle and Dressage Connection. He has his own FB page and Hilltop Farm in MD is standing him.
First foal is awesome and everything we wanted from the match, refinement of the mare along with- top gaits, conformation and temperment.

We have our American bred stallion, Thanks for the Gold (by All the Gold). He is being presented ISR/Old NA in Florida this fall. His very first colt was born 4/13/13.

I really like sandros star! He is in Germany right now so I’ve been following his updates.

Shameless plug for the stallion my mare is in foal to. Baldev, 7 year old Namelus R/Dageraad(Ramiro/Nimmerdor)/Triton(Uppercut) stallion approved BWP & KWPN Reg A. His first two shows at 1.40m after moving up from the 7 Y/Os at WEF brought a 2nd & a 6th in very very big classes. Definitely one to keep an eye on, & I think the only fresh option for Namelus R blood. He is at Spy Coast and very, very good semen. Goes like a hunter & clearly enjoys his job.

Bliss MF - Lifetime approved Hanoverian, Oldenburg GOV, RPSI, BWP and sBs.
Highest scoring stallion at 2012 NA Stallion Testing, Reserve Champion after age deduction. Bliss MF’s interior scores: 9 for Character, 9 for Temperament, 9.5 for Willingness to Work, 9 for Constitution. His movement scores were 8 for trot, 9 for Gallop and a 10 for Jump.
Extremely quiet and comfortable to ride. The total package!

You all should check out Cartier R standing at Rising Star Farm. My OTTB mare who has produced very nice show horses foaled out the first of his offspring. This stunning filly. I was so pleased with her, I bred one of my hunter OTTBs to him Friday and she ovulated Saturday.
