Upcoming Barisone Krol Hearing- Tuesday, February 4 at 11 a.m

Hello all! Hope the new year finds you well! Just wanted to post a reminder for Michael Barisone’s upcoming Krol hearing that is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4 at 11 a.m.

It will be held in Judge Taylor’s courtroom on the 4th floor of Morris County Courthouse. Parking is a short block away from the courthouse, with ample, easy to access parking.

If you decide to attend and need more information or would like to meet up, send me a PM.

Michael has worked very hard to be released from Krol status, and hopefully the court will recognize his efforts. Any support for Michael is greatly appreciated.

Once again keeping all my appendages crossed for MB.

He deserves to be out from the thumb of New Jersey. There is absolutely no reason for KROL to be continued.

Totally. The continuous Krol hearings are almost like some sort of sick joke on the judge’s part. Crazy waste of taxpayer money.

Taylor is still pissed as hell that MB was found not guilty by the jury and wants to lord over him for as long as possible. Held him for way longer than all the medical professionals said was necessary just because he could.

Since the one who shall remain nameless has stayed pretty quiet over the last 6 months, I’m assuming that there has been no issues. As long as MB is following the treatment plan set up, I can’t for the life of me see how the court cannot continue to relax their hold on him.

The pattern has been two hearings per level. I expect one more extension of the status quo before Taylor will move the needle again.

But it would be nice to be wrong.

ETA: I changed the title today as the hearing time has been changed to 11 a.m. Same courtroom, just two hours later.

is he an elected official? what happens if he looses his seat?

Judge Taylor is appointed

He was reappointed in 2020 and can serve until 2030 when he reaches the state’s mandatory retirement age of 70 for judges.

That’s a whole lotta asshattery time in the next five years.

Who appointed him?

really nearly six years : 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, then to Sept 28th 2030 when he reaches age 70

he was originally appointed by Chris Christie (2013) then reappointed by the NJ Senate in 2020

I’m crossing my fingers for a good outcome, but I’m guessing it will be another delay in giving him back his life. I would be ecstatic to see Michael released, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up.
