***Update: 4/20/22 The consult** Any one have experience with an oronasal fistula?

That’s a pretty crappy employer, I gotta say.

no kidding, where do these two bit employers/managers get off thinking the world revolves around their two bit job? If they treated their people with kindness and compassion they wouldn’t need these rules.

We are down a dozen people from covid. No-one is getting any days off for the foreseeable future. I mean I get that we are busy but what about our lives? We need to take time off for medical procedures and doctor appts. I don’t think anyone is asking to for time off to party. Plus just because my kids have fur I can’t take time off to care for them like other people do?

And we had a pleasant two weeks with no snotty nose, everything looking good and the snot came back on Saturday night. Back on meds. And $52 a bottle!! I’m going broke on this cat. Good thing she’s cute.

Poor kitty, bless her little heart. She sees me coming with the syringe and her little face just falls. She takes it like a little trooper and doesn’t even bother fighting or fleeing anymore.

That just breaks my heart. I wish I lived closer, I’d take her to the vet for you.

I’m so sorry. Hugs and jingles to you both! I wish I lived closer, too - I would take her to the vet for you in a heartbeat.

That so kind of you both!!! I think she’ll be okay it’s just another round of icky raspberry (!!!) flavor meds. We just both want this to be over. But anyone who can get up in the middle of the night and open all the cupboards and drawers or race thru the house a zillion mph and then pretend to be all innocence is going to be fine. lol

Miss Smudge is gorgeous ~ love her colors ~ thanks for sharing !

How is she doing ?

She’s such a pretty little cat. The black in her fur is so glossy. It’s hard to remember that she is 16.
She is okay - going to vet for recheck this weekend. Been losing some weight and acting a bit droopy.
Hole in her mouth still there - now trying to get her an appt. So few dental specialists in this area and trying to get one that actually answers the phone instead of playing ph tag with me is a pain.

She’s so pretty! Jingles and hugs and hoping you can get her into the right vet soon.

Smudge’s visit was very good. Vet said she looked well and had actually gained nearly a pound. Of course, broken TV syndrome - she wasn’t droopy at all and wanted to walk around the office and get into everything. The only downside is that the hole in her mouith is somewhat bigger but I did get a referral to a veterinary dentist that my vet knows personally.

Bonnie also got a good bill of health. She gained 6 ounces and lab values were excellent. The vet had just attended a seminar on renal failure in animals and the doctor who gave it had a lot of new information to disseminate. So I have a new plan for Miss BonBon: Up the fluid thru oral intake and reduce the subq. We will see. I have lots of hope. (She hates her subq fluids even though she gets her little face stuffed with treats after.)

She looks like she’s saying, “We need to talk”.

I had a dilute calico that I called Smudge.

Yes, that’s the perfect explanation for the that look. lol

Now if I could only stop her from going around the house at 4am and opening the cupboards and scraping all my towels onto the floor…

Smudge has her appt! She will be going to San Jose on 4/18. First appt is a consult so I hope they aren’t going to tell me that this surgery will cost an arm and a leg. Cross your fingers!
