Unfortunately I do 🥲

I bought mine a Bemer blanket, which I thought helped. I don’t think it did now, and sold it.

I have someone w a classIV Pegasus laser coming to care for him. I also use red light pads in between. He can now bend all the way around and scratch a hind pastern w his teeth. Both ways. He couldn’t before.

I SEE the reactions from the laser and red light therapy - snorting, licking, chewing, yawning, full body stretching.

I’m not knocking Bemer. It just didn’t work for us in 20/20 hindsight. I hope this is helpful somehow.

I injected my neck OA horse every six months after a while. I know others on a similar program.

What do you think about a biologic for neck OA? Feronia couldn’t have steroids after a certain point, so we switched to ProStride, and eventually one of the newer biological.

Looking back, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if she had neck OA during all those years I was having her injected here, there, and everywhere. She’s retired now, so I’m not pursuing further treatment, but what she went through sounds a lot like OP’s horse. BUT her vets always told me to keep riding her, unless she was acutely lame, because “motion is lotion.”
