UPDATE: She’s home now, safe and sound.
This came across my Facebook newsfeed (so, no, I am not the one who found her, and I do not have her):
It’s a public link, so everyone should be able to see it.

Hunt hounds should be marked, usually by tattoo. More likely, she is a private hunting hound.
Her owner was located (ODH said she “belongs to Warrenton”), but she escaped from where she was being held today and is now on the loose in the Bealeton area. Also, ODH mentioned Warrenton was also missing a white hound.
ETA: Here is the area where the dog that was found yesterday escaped from today for those in that area that might spot her:
“Bealeton, VA – this girl is now missing in Bealeton near Cemetary Rd. Pls call/txt 571-455-6890 if you see her. She will come if you call her so please grab her if you see her.”
Thank you, Liberty. I’d been in contact with her last night, asking her to please call Animal Control - the hound was desperately trying to get out of this woman’s house - baying and scratching at doors - terrified.
She was planning to wait until this morning to call - I don’t know if that was done before or after the hound escaped. I hope she is found safe and sound. I let some locals know too - so we can all keep an eye out for her.

She posted that early this morning around 5:30 am, the hound (“Polish”) chewed through her fence while she was in the shower. So I’m assuming she probably let Polish out this morning in her fenced yard, not knowing how determined Polish would be to get out. Last I read, both she and the owner have been spending the day trying to find Polish. Keeping my fingers crossed that the next update will be a positive one.
Thanks Jess!
Was the white hound found? I hope so.
I’m pretty sure Polish is back at her kennel. But ONLY after submitting to a bath, being wrapped in a towel, and possibly getting a new name…the photo of the poor foxhound with a towel on her head is hilarious!

She is back at her kennel. Please people, call animal control first! The hunts will give them a heads up if a hound is missing, and can direct the huntsman to the area where the hound was last seen, where the hound(s) might be able to be called in.
