Hi everyone!
Update on Jo and I! We are coming along together well. She’s still under chiropractic care, being a war horse OTTB and all. But last night I was musing that for my first ever purchase, I can NOT be happier! We had our first major hack out in hunt country trails for four miles and she was a doll!!! No wrong steps!
We’ve had some ups and downs, more with board management…barn managers who think their feed is optimal and decide to change which in turn have turned her hot. She’s had some fire breathing dragon moments, but I always knew she was there underneath. We are now at a private barn so I have total control over her feed, turnout, everything which is going to be so much better for the both of us.
While we will primarily trail ride, I’ve also signed up locally as a social member in our hunt club. She may have a future as a fox hunter after all! She doesn’t get fazed by much!!! My trail mate yesterday opted to take a few logs and she didn’t mind watching and staying in check at all. She’s also happy to lead and follow.
