I’m dating myself, but her flying ears made me think of the old sitcom “The Flying Nun!” So I would name her Sister Bertrille and call her Berty for short.

Ollie refused everything but Oliver or Ollie. I had a cant that I tried everything on until one day I looked at him and thought his coat looked like a fresh-baked pan of cornbread and I yelled “Ned Ned Cornbread Ya Great Big Punk” at him. He looked right at me and came right over. Ned Ned Cornbread, etc it was.
