Update: Still looking... What is everyone buying for dressage boots (for people) these days?

This is actually where I tried to order before. They only had two stiff boots, one not in stock and the other not what I wanted. The rest are field boots or dress boots with no stiffener.

I have had very good luck getting boots from dressage extensions. They have a large inventory, and returning boots that are not quite right is easy. Returning boots overseas that are not quite right… Super not easy. That’s worth a lot to me.

Sorry to hear that. Trying to find good dressage boots in your price range is hard. Do you belong to the Facebook group "Dressage Boot Addicts Anonymous? Lots and lots of people are selling almost new boots at good prices, all the brands you mention. People have had good luck with an ISO ad that includes their measurements. I got a brand new pair for $500; original price was $1200. They were custom ordered and did not fit the buyer. I got lucky.

I am part of that group, so many nice boots but haven’t seen anything I liked in my size. A lot of them are just a bit too much for even me.

I can stretch my budget a bit. I am thinking of ordering a pair of DeNiros in my size and requesting the color I want. But for $900 and now a 12 week wait because of the August closing? Maybe I’ll sit on my hands a little longer. I’m also a serious bargain hunter. My two other pairs of DeNiros cost me $350 (stiff dressage boots) and $250 (dress boots).

By “too much” do you mean price or design? The whole dressage boot design mania has gone bonkers. You can wear the craziest colors and designs of boots at a show, but forget about a show shirt with any patterns.

Design. Some are absolutely beautiful but I’d want a color that “goes” with everything, aka black or brown.

Understand. I have seen boots that were more plain with a tiny bit of bling or none at all. You just have to get lucky. I missed your original post about the FB group. Oops.

Did you do an ISO post with your sizes? That’s how I found my first pair!
