OK but can you for just a minute, see why that might be tempting for her? I’m serious, I’m not trying to fight with you eggbutt. Let’s just pretend for a minute that, in her mind, most of what is being said about her really is either untrue, misleading, or an exaggeration. Could you see how that could possibly make somebody belligerent and snarky?

I’ve seen most of you get belligerent and snarky on coth at one point or another when you’re misunderstood. Is it possible this is just an extreme 3 year long, thousands of posts, version of that same phenomenon?

qukelly, I do believe the moderation staff asked us (general us) to cut down on the swearing. I am not sure if you think this did not apply to you or that you missed that request, but you might want to go back and edit your swearing so mod1 does not have to do it for you.

2 seconds on Google shows me Pam was the owner of a horse competing successfully at small tour in CDIs by Canadian Rebecca Cowden. It seems very reasonable that someone like MB could spot a very talented small tour horse under a lesser-known rider and believe that under a pro like himself, the horse would be capable of a world-class GP.

FAIK, Pams story is true. But if its rather hyperbolic language and accusations of Wanting My Horse for Himself, and Being Mean to My Horse remind me of other spokesmodels of Miss Pop,. Im sorry, I am skeptical that someone like MB would ship a clients horse without knowledge or permission. I also question the similarity of accusations, and the timing. Reading this thread over its time here makes me skeptical. Having been in show and training barns since the earth was new I have heard it all and then some.

Im not dissing the horse at all. And of course it could be that MB could recognize talent. But the post doesnt ring true to me. I fully apologize to Pam if indeed her experience with MB was so traumatic that she deals with PTSD to this day. I actually wondered if someone was pretending to be Pam. Its all just quite coincidentally pat. Happy to be wrong, no dog in the fight.

Hi Pam,

I looked you up on USDF and USEF. Your record there has you competing one horse, Aramis, at first level. You had scores mid 60s, and several scratches.

It strikes me as unlikely that a trainer of Michael Barisones stature would need

Nobody cares what strikes you as “unlikely.” This is now another person sharing her strikingly similar story of MB’s tactics when he sees a horse (or horses) he desires, and the despicable & dishonest attempts he makes to try & procure said horses. Scare tactics. BULLYING. Threats.

But what you do??? Attempt to discredit her by mocking what YOU believe to be hers or her horse’s “skill?” Don’t bet your chickens. And for the love of all that is horses- STOP STALKING PEOPLE!!! It’s creepy, unnecessary & just plain weird. Stop yourself.

Lastly, you have less than no idea what mb needed at any point in his life. Did he need to wipe out his wife’s life savings? No! But he did! If HE saw talent in a horse (and/or rider for that matter) you further have no idea his limits (or, serious lack thereof) to get exactly what he wants.

I have stated repeatedly, MB tried very hard to force me to provide him my horse, Frontline. He knew Even Better was not up for discussion. He did not know, NEITHER WAS FRONTLINE. And, as it has been stated by others, there was a meeting (which I called) in September of 2018. This is when I bought JayT. Despite MB basically offering me (almost) ANY horse in his barn for an “even Steven,” trade for Frontline, I refused. Instead, I chose to PURCHASE JayT - (whose asking price at the time exceeded 6 figures, though, that is not what I paid) keep my fabulous Frontline (to the detriment of the wishes of certain other person/s) and hope that MB would honor his deal to allow JayT to keep the stall and home that was all this phenomenal horse had ever known.

Do not doubt what others come forward to share about their own MB experience & do not mock or STALK them. There will be more. Just as others have promised. There will be more.

I didnt mock her or her horse. I posted what her USEF record showed. And I love my chickens so would never bet them, promise. And your impressive capitals notwithstanding, looking up a horse or rider on our governing bodies membership boards is not stalking. You of all people should know that, yes?

I will continue to read with a jaded and experienced eye and will wait for All the Facts to Be Revealed like everyone else on these threads. And I wish Pam the best if indeed she were traumatized by anybody in the horse world. Lord knows crap does go on that shouldnt.

All this does, combined with seahorse’s account, prove is that MB is desperate to be associated with the Olympics again……and provide another reason why he’d be done with training you and ask you to leave. I seem to recall you going on about MHG having a younger full/half sibling to your horse, so why would MB need to get yours anymore.

Yes, this has to be true, because everyone KNOWS that full/half siblings are always exactly the same with regards to quality and all other attributes required for an Olympic level horse.
