In the great melting pot tradition of the beautiful USA, I submit that my immigrant variation on the apple pie is, indeed, as all-American as can be!!

PS: Is crying from boredom during baseball exempt?

Actually, in all honesty, I love going to a baseball game at a park - in the US, Canada, Japan, South Korea, or any other place I’ve lived where they play baseball. I don’t care for it on TV, though.

I do find US football super boring though. They stand about a devil of a lot!! (zips up flame suit)

I love all things pastry. It can be so hard being gluten free some days.

I did follow the advice to cut out all “baked desserts” for a while when going GF, because a lot of things just don’t compare. I now almost can’t stand the sugar in them. Even today, the cake was almost too sweet.

My cake was a hit. All gone.

You probably could for the all purpose flour part. The GF flour I use is intended to be a 1:1 substitute for regular flour. Just omit the xantham gum with regular flour.

How do you propose to get a restraining order without police reports to take to court, for the hearing?

Why do you think it wasn’t obvious to those in his circle?

@FitzE, your variation on apple pie sounds amazing. I love Vanilla and apples. (I also love regular apple pie.) I also totally agree about baseball on TV.

I am guessing a good percentage of the posters here do not even know what Born Free Elsa is all about, they were born after all that.

Don’t. I’ll start auto crying. That movie always reduces me to tears.

@Ambitious_Kate in my jurisdiction you dont necessarily need a police report for a temporary order of protection at least in Family Court… few had one.

Do you honestly believe it is not relevant that she was threatening others, and not just MB? It shows a pattern of behavior that many have said is common for her. This forum has witnessed that behavior right here.

You might be surprised who finds this pattern of behavior relevant!

I think @skydy was saying this in the context of a criminal trial. There are explicit rules excluding evidence of past actions in criminal trials.

Civil trials have much more leeway.

QPF, well, because we all know why!

See, when you get this basic detail wrong, that both parties can be flawed, you won’t really get much else right because your foundation is weak.

This is so classic…so typical.

Most people who hate each other simply stay away from each other. They don’t install illegal surveillance devices, refuse to leave property, threaten, harass, post incendiary SM posts, call SS to complain and when they are told they (SS) don’t handle adult-to-adult issues, suddenly come up with bogus child abuse issues to call out the big guns.

What you speak of is called vigilante justice. This situation wasn’t that and you know it. It was the result of your actions against a man and his girlfriend.

Yeah, you are right. Lots of people don’t do such despicable things to others, but then again, most people aren’t you. Thankfully.

@eggbutt, please take your own advice. Be it a cute lion or someone who makes ice castles, do an Elsa.

Me too! I also wept uncontrollably for “Where the Red Fern Grows” (movie and audio).

Thank you for this information. I was also wondering if the complaint was considered stated fact or if it was simply their side of the story. Thank you for clarifying.

Thank you to those with legal knowledge who are helping understand these documents etc.

Eggbutt had said that, according the filing, that LK had threatened to “burn the place down.” It turns out that the document does NOT say that, and I think Eggbutt agreed that it does not actually say that. However, if there had been a direct threat of arson, MB (or MHG) could have gone to court with that threat, plus the multiple personality threat, and requested a restraining order. If she had threatened arson (apparently she didn’t), it is difficult for me to believe it would not have been granted.

The civil filing is a very partisan account describing one party’s claims. If MB and MGH were as fearful as claimed in the document two years later, why didn’t they seek a restraining order? That was my my question.

I can not speak for what was going on in their heads, but it could simply be that they thought any number of things were required to get one. After so many calls to the police not getting any support, why would anyone think the courts would give them a restraining order?
