It is a fact that the jury unanimously determined that there was sufficient evidence that MB shot LK to the standard of beyond a reasonable doubt. Also that he was delusional when he committed the act.
I express that statement in shorter form by saying that it is a fact that he shot her, since the jury acts to determine the facts.
Would you say that it’s OK for someone to claim no one knows for sure whether the Holocaust happened because they personally did not witness any killings at Auschwitz?
Would you say it’s OK to pretend the 2020 election was stolen because you weren’t able to witness all the individual ballots in each of the swing states?
I’ve never personally viewed the earth as an orb from outer space, and frankly the earth seems quite flat in my daily existence, but I nevertheless know the earth is not flat. It’s round.
Based on the few quotes in the Jaffer article, I interpret the statement that MB is sorry for what he did as saying he is sorry he shot her.
That is consistent with the psychiatric team saying that he is in remission in terms of the delusions. He would not be safe to release if he were continuing to suffer from delusions.

If nobody personally witnessed any of the atrocities, sure that would be fair. But thousands of people did, and shared their stories. And there are thousands of photographs proving without a doubt those atrocities took place. So…not sure what point you’re trying to make here?
If there were photos or video (didn’t Rob initially claim there was video?) we would know for sure what happened. If the events had been witnessed by multiple people and their reports all matched, we would know for sure what happened. But as far as I know we have only two first-hand accounts of the day, both from self-confessed liars and both differing in several key aspects.
So I’ll say this one more time, and only one more time because I get the feeling you’ve been told this before:
It’s a fact the information the jury received led them to conclude that Michael shot Lauren while in a delusional state. That does not make it a fact that Michael shot Lauren.
It’s a fact the jury - based on the evidence it heard - found the Central Park 5 guilty of assault and rape. That does not make it a fact that each of those 5 people assaulted and raped someone.
