USA/UK "Ryder Cup" involving a wider range of sports?

Saw this article the other day:

Essentially, there’s some preliminary conversation about a Ryder Cup type competition between the US and UK that would involve more than just golf. Including a selection or possibly all of the Olympic sports.

I’m wondering if equestrian sports might be included. I can see GB advocating for their inclusion, given GB’s strength there. And the inclusion would be a good thing for the sport on this side of the Atlantic.

OTOH, the expense of the sport might weigh against it.

an interesting idea. Fostering competition particularly when younger athletes are integrated with vets is great for sport.

As far as equestrian is concerned, man I would pay to watch a team from England catch ride here. Imagine the opportunity to watch Charlotte get on someones PSG horse and have 20 minutes to “figure it out” and then ride a test.

If a public assessment of the ride came after it would be like a huge master class.

Same with jumping, A modified version of the World Championship round.

one way to bypass the expense of transporting horses.
