USEA Horse Search Question

Crossing over from H/J land to ask some questions. I have a client purchasing a horse who has evented previously. USEF lets us look up the horse and see their show record, but I can’t seem to find a similar feature on the USEA website. Could anyone kindly point me to where I might find that. I don’t have the horse’s registration # but do have his name and some other info. Thank you!

It is on the USEA homepage (useventing.com), on the right hand side. It says “Search Horse”. Just type in the name and hit search.

Thank you! HA I totally missed that

I have a retired eventer now and tried to look him up. His name comes up with the owner but I cannot get his record. Am I doing something wrong?

When did he last compete? I think the search on the US eventing front page that Janet referred to doesn’t have the full record - when I searched my horse using that link, I only got results from the last two years. You may have to be a USEA member to get earlier results. I’d be happy to search for him if you want to PM me.

Yes, you have to be logged in as a member to see the earlier results.

Gardenhorse that would be so nice of you. I have had 3 eventers at this point and each one was a pleasure. If you could send it to my email that would be great ivy62@optonline.net

Depending on how high he evented might be on USEF website too

1* level I think. Does the USEF have a search?

If he evented to 1*, you can search his international record on the FEI site. (Links are weird, but it’s the first Google hit for me when I use “fei horse search”.) No membership needed, the records are open to the public.

USEF recognized events – and at that level he would have them on his record – should come up if you do a USEF horse search. From USEF’s home page, select Competitions and then Search/Horses will appear in the dropdown. You may need a USEF membership to search horses though - it has changed a couple times, and I’m currently a member, so I can’t tell.
