USEF discount at John Deere

Quit a few of you have mentioned that there’s a good discount at John Deere for USEF members. Everything I can find so far is that this discount is only for full-time, professional trainers/breeders, and for the rest of us, the discount is only $250. (Not that I’d turn that down, but <1% discount doesn’t exactly get the heart fluttering.)

Or does JD just say that only pros are eligible, but in reality they don’t look for anything other than your membership #.

Don’t be suckered into buying a new tractor, when good used ones are available for much less. Unless, JD has changed, their discount was only on retail price, and didn’t apply to sale prices.

If you can find a Ford 3930 like these:
http://www.tractorhouse.com/list/list.aspx?manu=FORD&mdltxt=3930
you have yourself one heck of a good tractor for less than half the price.

Read the fine print…regarding payments also.
