USEF fan membership issues (to watch Fair Hill), help?

Didn’t want to wade through the existing thread (and clog it up - plus wanted to avoid spoilers!)

I have/had a USEF membership (expired.) For the past several years I’ve had a “fan membership” which has allowed me to stream things - but now I’m having a devil of a time accessing the “fan membership” to watch Fair Hill - which I understand is through ClipMyHorse.

They DO provide a helpful youtube video on how to access it - but of course since they still have my membership info they keep asking me to “upgrade” without an option to simply sign up for the fan membership.

A second video tried to explain how to do this “as an existing member”, but when I followed the prompts it led me to a dead end - probably because I have a lapsed membership.

i think I entered my Fan membership number at usef.com. i had forgotten the password so that had to be reset.

login

then click on USEF along the top row, it goes to CMH page, enter email (and reset password since I forgot that as well).

log in

that brings up the “live” option

at least that is as much as I can remember. it seemed much more difficult and I may have forgotten a step, but I am watching live with only a fan membership, so it is possible

Thanks, will try that! I believe I did all that, so maybe I am missing a step somewhere?

Alternatively, PBS is airing it today – of course I have an HT tomorrow so will be tied up from 130 to 4 which is when it airs – but they replay it from 8 to 1030 as well.

I logged into USEF Network. It redirected me to ClipMyHorse which prompted me to login again. Used same info as USEF and it let me watch live stream.

I’ve done that before (with other events who used USEF and ClipMyHorse) and have gotten access, but this time it just keeps looping me back to my USEF membership which has expired – and asking me to upgrade before I can go any further!

If you can get a USEF person on the phone, they can walk you through it.

I did look up contact info, but they apparently are only open Monday through Friday? So I didn’t call.

Much appreciated!, but I’m leaving in half an hour for the barn and will ride then do show prep – so will just try to watch it on PBS at 8 PM tonight.

CMH is just about useless. Not on the phone, not on the tablet, just loops back to say you must be a member of usef. Been a full member for 49 years! Cmon guys, no more excuses. Giving up on watching Fair Hill, so disappointing

I don’t think it works on a tablet or phone unless you get the premium membership through CMH.

tnf007, make sure you are logged back in once you’ve created your clipmyhorse password. GDPR (European internet privacy laws) prohibits us from sharing your log in info, so one must re-enter the new password to watch the live stream. Thanks - Paul

Such a disappointment not to be able to watch today…i had the same issue, hit the button for “link to USEF membership” and it just looped back to the main CMH page and i never even got the screen to enter any credentials (unless i signed up for a premium membership which I am afraid to do). Watching Morven Park on YouTube just days ago sure was nice and seamless….

I completely agree, and yes – Morven Park being available on YouTube was great wasn’t it? Oy vey.

Oh well – I’m heading home from the barn and will be in front of the PBS replay at 8 PM!

Paul I appreciate your willingness to help but surely your whole IT plan can’t be to call people who are having problems to attempt to talk them through it is it? I will say that I was literally a few hundred feet from the actual arena they were filming and still had the message not available in my area because the stream is only available in North American pop up several thousand times so it can’t be completely user stupidity on my part. I wasn’t leaving and returning and leaving the continent over and over again.

I long for the USEFtv days.

I have to tell you that based on my experience, I will not be purchasing a ClipMyHorse membership anytime soon.
The Burghley TV experience was so good and easy to deal with. This one? There was so much frustration.
