My horse will be moving up to prelim in April with his rider, I am not the rider, just the owner. I have not registered him yet with USEF. Do I have to be a USEF member in order to register him with USEF? Thanks!

Note that at Prelim
A The HORSE does NOT require USEF recording.
B The OWNER DOES need USEF membership (or pay $30 per competition)
So, yes YOU do need to join USEF(or pay $30 per competition)
at prelim, horse does need a USEF horse ID number, which is free to usef members.
