Competition begins bright and early tomorrow (10/16) at 7:00AM. Live stream available on USEF Network.
It is a silver lining. I’m training for a marathon, but I broke a little, so I am cross-training instead of running right now. Tomorrow, I will arrive to the gym bright and early, and set up my tablet, headphones, Gatorade bottle, water, and snacks and settle in for 2 and a half hours on the elliptical watching medal finals with you lovely people. Whereas if I were running, I would have had to get up at 4 in the morning to pull this off and be home to spectate and eat my waffles by the time the first horse enters!
I have a message to Skylar Wireman. Skylar, you don’t know me, and you don’t care about my feelings. But last year, I was pulling for you to win, and you broke my heart in the test. This year, I am still pulling for you to win. Including in the test. I think we probably have similar goals, so I thought I would just ask. Thank you for your consideration of this important matter.
See you all tomorrow!
Renn, I feel you about last year and I’m pulling for Skylar tomorrow.
Quick question - back in the day, there was a reward for volunteering to go first (rumor was a Rolex watch, but need verification). Earlier today, McKayla Brombach was slated to go first and now Isabella David is, with McKayla going second. Volunteer? Or last minute shuffle?
I can’t tell from the entries, but I wonder if Victoria Simond’s horse is the same Outshine that Ally Worthington showed a few years ago. I always liked that horse. They’re 9th in the order tomorrow. I’ll be curious to see if it is!
For the Skylar fans, her trainer Andre Dignelli has some interesting things to say about her in this podcast that came out last week. It’s also a good look behind the scenes at his process for the big days on the equitation calendar.
So is the live feed actually going to be live? Tried watching Thursday and the feed was a good hour behind live results…
Were you watching on USEF? Their day-of streams for the Eq finals have normally been good in my experience.
I noticed the same thing during Capital Challenge.
I hope it will be live so I can watch the first 90 minutes of the Medal before I have to pay attention to a different show.
Yes. Same thing was happening while streaming capital challenge also
Anyone seen a course posted—I have no clue where to find it. TIA.
What you say about the stream delay is starting to make me a little nervous in terms of how I planned my day. I feel like I should be watching the tail end of a course walk or a drag break right now, and the stream is just telling me that fan members like me don’t have access to on-demand content.
You can get a subscriber membership for $15.00 using the code USEFMedal22.
I’ve been wondering why they aren’t live yet as well.
So far I’m only seeing the option to watch the classes from yesterday. Come on, man.
Tick, tock.
I’m happy to do that if it means I’ll be able to watch actually live. @faultfree, are you a subscriber or a fan member?
So far, the subscriber membership isn’t doing anything for me.
I’ve watched for the last several years with a fan membership.
I feel like they do this every year—come live at the last possible moment—just to make me crazy!
They’re live now.
Link?? I’m still just seeing yesterday’s classes.
I had the same thing. Close out, go back to the USEFNetwork home, and select USEF/Dover Medal from the menu drop down.
