My excuse is that I have tiny little hands and it actually is a bit hard to close them all the way around the reins.
Also, I have been riding for 30 years. I am an adult with a good job. I have had quite a few years to custom order skinny little child reins in horse length if I really wanted to fix my problem.
I think the commentary has degenerated a bit. Earlier on in the day I thought Sissy in particular was doing a good job of having something kind or educational to say about everyone.
My excuse is this, but also that I have nerve damage in my right hand from a fairly dramatic fall I had as a pony kid where the pony went down on top of me and stepped on me a bunch of times in the process, so keeping a closed fist on my right hand is very difficult for me.
Man I still thought of Stella Wasserman as a pony kid and sheâs all grown upâŠ

I minded Stellaâs swap and rail more than Zaynaâs because I felt Stella let them happen more than Zayna did. But I expect Zayna to move down quite a bit as other riders have done the job without those errors.
Riders, every single one of you who has trotted in here lackadaisically on a loose rein and proceeded into a leisurely canter still on a loose rein has had a sad day. Could we try a different way of proceeding, perhaps?
