Lots of big names and at least one name MIA.
And who are the “lots of big names”, other than the ones we’ve already discussed here?
Wow. I can’t believe that there are still enough people left to fill classes. I can remember when the list was about 20 people long.
The suspension lists have been pretty up to date. They need to be as show secretaries are supposed to check them.
What has finally been updated are the hearing results. Looks like they have also changed some standard verbage
Most of people who are suspended must suspended for non-payment of something. There are only three people with suspension end dates, and those are Mrs. Colvin, Mr. Rivetts, and Mr. Serio, all of whom were involved in well publicized cases. I can’t imagine there have been that many lifetime suspensions over the years to explain the number of indefinite suspensions.
why am I not seeing end dates?

Because they are mostly suspended for non-payment of some sort. The suspension will end when they pay.
Plus the lifetime suspensions from the insurance fraud.
Includes Richard Bailey and Tommy Burns. Creepy.
The notices are also up for the fall months.

I wonder what happened with the horse with caffeine in its system! That seems odd.

I know of one that the date has not been set, because the hearing keeps getting moved back.

You know, that’s the one I read over twice as well, both because I respect the person involved and because it was the one “plea agreement” in a sea of drug violations. The other one I read twice was the horse who had had caffeine and theophylline. What, did they feed the horse a chai tea latte or something?!
(Yes, I know that both substances are bronchodilators, but a horse stealing the barn Starbucks order was my first thought.)
Lots of people give horses soda pop.
but caffeine is in a lot of OTC painkillers

Once on the list, always on the list. There are people on it from the 80s
Just musing here…
Should there be more penalties for an individual who habitually bounces checks at shows? I think it’s probably happened to most of us at one time or another. I’m talking about a person who does this at several shows a year. Should they be suspended for longer than just the time it takes them to pay the show back?

Considering the people involved, somebody probably finally got the punch line of a joke and spewed coffee around the cross ties.

I think the show would always have the right to decline their entry, right?
Sure, lots of us have bounced checks. Most of us have made them good. There’s one name on the list from someone I know. Quite wealthy. Never made good on your show bill…why? And hers is from 15 years ago.

I did quite a bit a research because I know of a horse that tested positive for theophylline who had not been intentionally drugged. I can tell you that theophylline (caffeine found in tea) and theobromine (caffeine found in coffee) are both common contaminants in horse feed because the same tanker trucks that haul grain products (oats, corn, etc) also commonly haul coffee beans and other products. It is so common, that there are acceptable levels for the FEI and horse racing. There aren’t acceptable levels for USEF for theophylline (only theobromine). Theophylline is also found in most species of holly bushes/trees. We think that is how my friend’s horse had it in his system since there are holly bushes all around his farm and the horse is always grabbing a mouthful.
