USEF suspensions?

Where on their website does USEF hide the suspension list these days?

Hover over compete > rules & regs > ineligibility list
OR
if you just click on rules & regs at the bottom is a link for suspension list (both go to the same link)

You have to be a member to see it (fan membership is FREE), but definitely not hidden once you have a login. Here is the direct link: https://www.usef.org/compete/resourc…ligibilty-list

I found a brief list of names, but no reasons.
I guess what I’m asking about is the old format, where the list included a short description of the reason.
I was curious, because this AM, I heard that placings for horses at Arabain SHN were redistributed due to the disqualification of a winner, and I wanted to know what the rule violation was.

Try looking at disciplinary hearing results for details on charges. Think the baddie list itself has grown too large to include details with the majority of suspensions for “failure to settle indebtedness” i.e. bad checks.

Even if you can access the written reason it may not fully explain the why of it. I did call USEF a number of years ago and was able to wheedle the cause out of the person there by being super sweet. It can be for something as simple as not paying your dues on time - up to the more serious violations. You might try calling the show sponsors - though they’re usually pretty tight-lipped about such things.

Thanks. Nothing I can find for my immediate question, but now I know where to look!

Sometimes there is just a blurb (not paying fees or late filings) and sometimes there is further information like if it is a drug related finding.

If it is through AHA is it not possible that there is a suspension through their side and not necessarily through USEF? Not sure how all of that works.

It was AHA SHN, but the rules are still USEF matter, I believe.
(It was then AHSA, but I was peripherally involved as an expert witness in a previous Arab Nationals flap, and it was AHSA that forced AHA to comply with its own rules…)

From what I read, the notice on whichever horse and/or people have been suspended is still pending for publication. Not sure how soon the notification will be posted.

I figured out which horse it was through some sleuthing but the reason for the DQs aren’t up on USE yet. That’s all I got!

Thanks for this timely reminder. Last year, for the first time ever, I had filed a complaint with USEF over horse abuse I witnessed at a dressage show. Basically the rider fell off her horse in warm-up and when she caught the horse, stood beside it and hit it as hard as she could be her dressage whip. The horse did not wait for a second whack and took off at a hand gallop around the warm-up ring. It ran for about 5 minutes. Other competitors warming up had to dismount and leave. Fortunately nobody was hurt. Fortunately the horse did not decide to jump out of warmup (the fencing was very low) and tear into the competition rings or around the grounds. It was a really bad display of an adult losing her temper and not thinking of the consequences. Any how, she got 2 months suspension and a $2K fine.
